IUPD connects with community during National Night Out

Aug 21, 2024

Whether playing cornhole, passing out candy or helping kids soak people in dunk tanks, Indiana University Police Department officers connected with local communities throughout the state as part of a nationwide effort to build relationships with law enforcement.

National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual event that brings law enforcement personnel together with the communities they serve. IUPD officers from IU Bloomington, IU Kokomo, IU Northwest and IU South Bend participated in events in partnership with local police departments and first responders.

The IUPD is dedicated to community engagement and service, and prioritizes cultivating relationships with local partners. Participating in National Night Out is one of the many ways it upholds its mission.
