- Master of Science in education in evidence-based practices in educational psychology at IU Bloomington.
The doctorate in information science at IU Indianapolis, offered through the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering, will emphasize community-engaged research, public scholarship, and collaboration with communities to address their information needs and challenges.
The program will prepare graduates for careers conducting research and collaborating with communities for societal progress. Graduates will be qualified for jobs with public and academic libraries, research libraries, museums, archives, nonprofits, and cultural and government organizations.
The O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IU Bloomington will offer the Master of Public Policy, which will focus on the evaluation and design of public policy. It builds on the foundation of O’Neill’s top-ranked Master of Public Affairs program and is geared toward students who have high-level skills in mathematics, economics and statistics, and want a career in policy analysis.
The program will prepare them for analyzing, evaluating and solving all aspects of policy. Graduates will be prepared for careers in the public, private and nonprofit sectors, such as policy research, legislative analysis, government relations, and program analysis, management and administration.
The Master of Design Leadership, offered through the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design in Bloomington, will focus on ethics, design process and multidisciplinary leaderships, and involve critical and ethical thinking. The program addresses the need for leaders to work with diverse communities, stakeholders and clients to solve complex design problems in contemporary society.
One objective is to prepare the next generation of innovators who can apply entrepreneurial and design thinking to benefit Indiana and beyond. Graduates will be prepared for careers in design, construction and business consulting fields.
The IU School of Education in Bloomington will offer the Master of Science in education in evidence-based practices in educational psychology. The degree addresses a growing need for teachers, administrators and school professional staff to understand evidence-based practices that impact teaching and learning.
The program will prepare professionals who use evidence-based practices in educational psychology to consider new approaches to learning and teaching to address inequities across race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender and geography, and how those impact student motivation, engagement and educational performance.
The degrees approved by the trustees must receive final approval from the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.
