Kara Wools-Kaloustian is the director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Indiana University School of Medicine, co-PI of the International Epidemiologic Databases to Evaluate AIDS East African Consortium, and co-director of research for AMPATH, the Academic Model Providing Access to Healthcare Partnership in western Kenya.
The majority of her research has been related to assessing the outcomes of antiretroviral rollout in sub-Saharan Africa. This has included assessing outcomes of patients enrolled in care, developing task-shifting models for care, assessing prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV programs and integrating cervical cancer screening programs.
