Expert Bio

Matt Kinghorn is senior demographic analyst at the Indiana Business Research Center at the Indiana University Kelley School of Business. He conducts a variety of demographic and economic research projects, including producing population projections for Indiana and its counties, community benchmarking studies and economic impact analysis.

He also serves as an Indiana representative to the U.S. Census Bureau’s Federal-State Cooperative for Population Estimates and is a member of the Indiana Geographic Information Council.

Before joining the Indiana Business Research Center, Kinghorn worked with a community development consulting firm where he led a range of projects throughout Indiana, including local economic development strategies, community needs assessments and project feasibility studies.

He holds a B.A. in geography from Indiana University and a Master of Public Affairs from the IU Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
