Linda Galocy

Expert Bio

Linda Galocy is the program chair for the Health Information Management Programs at IU Northwest. She teaches ICD coding and computer applications courses within the Health Information Technology and Administration programs.

She is currently working on her doctorate in instructional systems technology, has a master’s degree in adult education, and received her Bachelor of Science in health information administration.

Galocy is an active volunteer at the national level, serving as a commissioner for the Commission on Certification for Health Informatics at the AHIMA. She has previously served on committees for the state and regional health information management associations.

She frequently serves as a consultant to physician practices for coding and documentation reviews outside her responsibilities at IU Northwest. She has co-authored and edited several textbooks, and she frequently presents on coding topics as well as instructional design topics at local and national conferences.

Revenue cycle management, ICD coding, CPT coding, coding auditing and reporting focused on physician practices, electronic health records, Health Information Exchange, instructional design.
