Expert Bio

Ryan Outlaw is an associate professor at Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. His research focuses on work relationships, including co-worker/co-worker and supervisor/co-worker relationships. More specifically, he conducts research on justice, trust and information exchange, with publications in Personnel Psychology and Academy of Management Journal.

He has also researched the effects of sharing negative information about co-workers, arguing this behavior can strengthen both positive emotions and social exchange relationships when examined on a daily basis.

He received his Ph.D. from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business and his B.S. and MBA from Louisiana State University.
