Expert Bio

Rahman Arman is originally from Afghanistan. In 2005, he graduated from the Faculty Medical School of Herat University and received his M.D. as a general practitioner.

Arman joined Indiana University’s Center for Languages of the Central Asian Region in October 2007 as a Pashto material developer and soon started teaching advanced Pashto classes for the Department of Central Eurasian Studies. He has many years of experience developing Pashto and Dari material. He has published Dari introductory and intermediate textbooks that have been published by Georgetown University Press.

Currently, he creates Dari and Pashto materials for online classes. Arman was promoted to senior lecturer in 2017.
