
Phil Powell

Expert Bio
Phil Powell is the associate dean of academic programs and a clinical associate professor of business economics and public policy at IU Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. He is also the academic director of the Indiana Business Research Center.
He previously served as faculty chair of the full-time and online MBA programs at Indiana University in Bloomington. Both programs saw an increase in national rankings under Powell’s leadership.
Powell joined the Kelley School as an Indianapolis faculty member in 1996. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Vanderbilt University and his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of South Carolina.
