Virginia Hojas Carbonell

Expert Bio

Virginia Hojas Carbonell is a native of Spain, but she moved to the U.S. in 2001. She has a B.A. in translation and interpretation from the University of Valladolid and two master’s degrees, one in TESOL/Spanish and one in secondary education from West Virginia University. Hojas Carbonell has been teaching Spanish since 2001 and is currently a senior lecturer and the assistant director of the Basic Language Program in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. In addition, Hojas Carbonell coordinates the Spanish Advance College Program and does translation work as a freelancer.
