Expert Bio
Head diving coach at IU from 1989 to 2013, Jeff Huber may be best known for his 37-year career as a collegiate diving coach and as recipient of the highest national and international honors and awards for his coaching: three-time U.S. Olympic Coach; 13-time USA Diving National Coach of the Year; NCAA Coach of the Year; Big Ten Coach of the Year for the men’s and women’s teams nearly every year between 1992 and 2013; United States Olympic Committee Coach of the Year; and four-time winner of the U.S. National Diving Championship Coach of Excellence Award.
Prior to his appointment as emeritus professor of practice in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, Huber taught in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology and the Department of Kinesiology at Indiana University. He is the author of “Applying Educational Psychology in Coaching Athletes and Springboard and Platform Diving.”
