Jennifer Deranek is an assistant dean and clinical associate professor in the Vera Z. Dwyer College of Health Sciences’ School of Applied Health Sciences at IU South Bend. She regularly provides sideline medical care to college students and young athletes in a variety of sports, such as soccer, lacrosse and football, across the community.
She also frequently engages in public education on topics related to the health and safety of youth athletes, including the importance of proper care and recovery protocols for concussion.
