Expert Bio
Kyle Adams is chair of the Department of Music Theory at Indiana University. He has published articles on the analysis of 16th-century music and on hip-hop in Theoria, Music Theory Online, Music Theory Spectrum, Journal of Music Theory, Race and Justice, and the Cambridge Companion to Hip-Hop. He is currently working on a monograph tracing the development of chromaticism from antiquity to the 18th century.
