Expert Bio
Ilan Levine has conducted experiments searching for dark matter particles, studying neutrinos from the sun and high-energy particle collisions. Most recently he has worked on the PICO, PICASSO and COUPP dark matter experiments and is helping to build a new type of bubble chamber for studying neutrinos.
He has also designed and fabricated transducers for a variety of other scientific groups.
Levine earned his Ph.D. at Purdue University in 1995.
Areas of Expertise
Dark matter, neutrinos, astroparticle physics, acoustic transducers, radon.
