Chera LaForge is an associate professor of political science and chair of the Department of Criminal Justice and Political Science at Indiana University East in Richmond, Indiana. Her current research interests include Congress and legislative behavior. This includes the influence of progressive ambition on legislative behavior and fundraising, as well as the impact of groups like the Tea Party on legislative agendas.
LaForge is also interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning and in the administration of online programs. She completed her Ph.D. at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in 2012.
