Joshua Brown

Expert Bio

Joshua Brown has been a professor of psychological and brain sciences at IU since 2006. My interests focus on how people and animals learn, optimize and control goal-directed behavior in complex and changing environments.

He has a bachelor’s degree from University of California San Diego in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. from Boston University in cognitive and neural systems. His postdoctoral research was in monkey neurophysiology, human functional imaging and computational neural modeling.
