Dr. Naga Chalasani is considered an authority in the fields of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease and drug-induced liver injury, two highly significant public health problems. In a series of translational studies, he has characterized the role of leptin, adiponectin, cytochrome P450 2E1, GPI-PLD and FADS1 in human nonalcoholic steatohepatitis.
