Vijay Lulla is an assistant professor of geography at IUPUI who studies geographic information science, remote sensing (earth/environmental), spatial databases, spatial statistics and the cartographic visualization of quantitative data.
Lulla has investigated the health hazards of extreme heat events in urban areas and used satellite imagery to model the effects of urban tree canopies. He is very interested in developing a curriculum that integrates humanities and sociology (liberal arts), especially ethical calculus, and STEM.
