Expert Bio
Dave Koceja is a professor kinesiology in the School of Public Health-Bloomington. His research interests focus on the neuromuscular control of human movement.
In directing various graduate students, he has also investigated the role of dysfunctional states on neuromuscular function, particularly anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction and people with arthritis.
Most of my research is conducted in the Motor Control Research Laboratory in the School of Public Health building, where he works with graduate assistants to perform balance tests on older adults. The mission is to motivate older adults to lead more active lives and enjoy better balance and health.
He has a Ph.D. and master’s degree from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
