As director of Student Central and Enrollment Management, David Chappell oversees the day-to-day operations of all student services at IU Fort Wayne, including recruitment, admissions, pre-major advising, student financial services and registrar functions. He is also an integral part of strategic planning for the campus, focusing on enrollment management and student success.
His areas of research include student readiness, high-stakes testing, student success and first-year retention.
Chappell brings a wealth of leadership and higher education experience to IU Fort Wayne, having served as faculty and Fort Wayne campus administrator for Brown Mackie College and as director of student success for Salem University. He earned a Doctor of Education degree in higher and postsecondary education from Argosy University and a Master of Science degree in biomedical engineering from Iowa State University.
