Expert Bio
Kristin Hamre is an assistant professor in the IU School of Social Work. Her research, focused on disability policy and services, takes a lifespan perspective, and aims to understand how policy and services impact people with disabilities and their families.
She focuses on families with children with autism spectrum disorder and related disabilities. She also conducts research on issues related to guardianship, including a focus on empowerment and self-determination for individuals with disability.
