Expert Bio

Sarah Carter is the art, architecture and design librarian at Herman B Wells Library. She is an active participant in the Art Libraries Society of North America professional community. She has held the education liaison position to the executive board, was a founding member of the ArLiSNAP division and chaired the Mentoring Subcommittee.

Carter has published on the topics of artists’ books, equity in art library circulation policies and information literacy competencies for studio art students. Her work experience since 2007 has been in both university and art and design school libraries. She has also served as an NEH Arts and Humanities Reference Resources grant reviewer.
