Expert Bio

Evan Jordan is an assistant professor in the School of Public Health-Bloomington’s Department of Health & Wellness Design. His research focuses on the psychological impacts of tourism, sustainable tourism, and tourism planning and policy. He is particularly interested in tourism’s impact on stress, emotions, and quality of life and their implications for public health.

He has a tourism research-focused podcast, “The Trip Doctor Podcast,” in which he interviews tourism researchers about their findings. Over the last several years he has sought a variety of creative ways to get research findings out to the general public in an effort to increase the impact of tourism research, including writing pieces in various magazines and doing television and radio interviews.
