Mona Mirehie is an assistant professor in the Department of Tourism, Event and Sport Management at IUPUI. Mirehie’s current research considers well-being outcomes of travel and recreational sport participation with a particular focus on mass-participation community sport events.

She is an active member of several professional organizations including the Academy of Leisure Sciences and the National Society for Sport Management.

Areas of Expertise

Sport tourism (active and event), tourism and well-being, community sport events and well-being, tourism and recreational sports behavior, gender issues in tourism and recreational sports.
