David Nguyen is an assistant professor of urban education leadership and policy and an adjunct professor of law at IUPUI. Prior to academia, Nguyen was a full-time practicing attorney in the areas of immigration, family and administrative law. He is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of Indiana, North Dakota and Texas.
He has a B.S. Ed. in secondary education and an MBA, JD and Ph.D. in education policy studies from Indiana University. He obtained a Masters of Advanced Legal Studies from Leiden University, the Netherlands, as a Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholar.
Before coming to IUPUI, Nguyen was a professor at the University of North Dakota and the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has worked in law firms and state government.
