Expert Bio
A member of the IU Kelley School of Business faculty since 2005, Kyle Cattani is professor of operations management, chair of the Full-Time MBA Program and the Ming Mei Chair in Business. Since 2017, he has served as associate editor of the Journal of Operations Management, and he also is senior editor at Production and Operations Management Society.
In addition to leading Kelley’s Full-Time MBA Program, he has taught operations management and supply chain management. He researches managing operations in the presence of uncertainty, managing product end-of-life and mass customization. Recent journal papers include “The Patient Patient” in Decision Sciences and “Behavior-Aware Service Staffing” in Production and Operations Management.
Before coming to IU, he taught at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 1997 to 2005 and previously was with Hewlett Packard Co. He has an MBA from the University of California at Berkeley and a doctorate from Stanford University.
