Expert Bio
As a school psychologist, Tiffany Neal has involvement across academic, behavioral and functional assessment and intervention across ages and settings. She has background in clinical neuropsychology and complex or dual diagnoses within inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic and treatment settings. With focus on dissemination and implementation science, she has written and presented at state, national, and international conferences while also being active in teaching, supervision and ongoing training and outreach efforts. She has been active within state and national organizations and committees to further policy, legislation and advocacy needs in relationship to autism spectrum disorder, program evaluation and service implementation.
Neal has served as a psychology instructor and supervisor within general psychology, developmental psychology, and neuropsychology courses and contexts. At the national, state and community levels, she has served as a board member and/or committee member for such groups as the Autism Society of Indiana and Indiana Association of School Psychologists, with additional participation in legislation and advocacy committees at both state and national levels. As the assistant director at HANDS in Autism, she provides oversight and support of students and staff in various capacities through internally developed strategy-specific protocols, rubrics and measures, to facilitate service, research and implementation.
Areas of Expertise
Training and consultation across disciplines in such areas as diagnostic considerations, implementation across systems, data collection and monitoring, and building collaborative partnerships within systems and between systems and families; trainings related to functional behavioral assessments (FBAs), behavioral interventions, observational methods, data collection, common childhood diagnoses, autism spectrum disorders, advocacy and team collaboration.
