Bruce Bare

Expert Bio

Bruce Bare joined the School of Public Health-Bloomington in 2016. Before that, he had worked for IU Recreational Sports as a risk manager for three years. Bare is a retired paramedic and firefighter with 28 years of emergency services experience including experience as a deputy coroner and tactical team (SWAT) paramedic.

After retirement from EMS, he was the founding program chair for Ivy Tech Community College Degree Paramedic Program before going to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security as a section chief. He has a B.S. from Purdue and is pursuing his master’s in safety management.
