Expert Bio
With academic training as an editor of others’ writing, and a Ph.D. in evolutionary genetics from the IU Department of Biology, Eva Allen spent 15 years working with IU faculty to develop compelling, fundable research grant proposals. She directed the Proposal Development Services team in the Office of the Vice Provost for Research from July 2015 to June 2017. In that role, Allen worked with the team that developed IU’s Prepared for Environmental Change Grand Challenge initiative. She became the assistant director of the initiative’s Environmental Resilience Institute when the initiative was launched in July 2017.
