Marie Eisenstein is an expert on presidential politics, Congress and the Supreme Court. She is also an expert on political and religious tolerance. She publishes on both political tolerance and social trust in relationship to democratic values in a free society and how religion intersects (or not) with those values. Her work appears in venues such as the Oxford Handbook of Religion and American Politics (2009), Social Science Research (2013), Religion and Politics (2014), Temple University Press (2015), Political Behavior (2006), Oxford University Press (2012), the Journal of Political Science Education (2013) and Baylor University Press (2008).
