Jackie Tijerina is a research associate at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community. Her work includes research and development of training and curriculum for individuals working in the disability field, as well as providing technical assistance.
She has over 30 years of experience in the area of disability, the primary focus on employment for adults and transition services for students leaving school to adult life. Tijerina oversees the Indiana Employment Specialist Training project, teaching about 130 employment specialists each year. She reviews and evaluates curriculum for the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators.
