Sarah Hurwitz’s research includes two tracks: designing interventions for children with autism spectrum disorder, and investigating the effectiveness of special education services for students with disabilities. In particular, she is interested in improving students’ social interaction skills, developing their conversational language and finding behavioral interventions that really work. She examines academic and social outcomes in order to understand how students with disabilities are best served by schools.
