Expert Bio

Blair McKissock’s life work and passion have revolved around experiential learning, nature-based learning and therapy. She has over 20 years of practical experience in outdoor education; animal-assisted and adventure therapy; and facilitation as a recreation therapist and wellness coach. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in ecopsychology, exploring the broader topic of the Biophilia Hypothesis and the effect of nature connectedness/disconnectedness on our physical and emotional health. Her teaching experience has included 20 years using the experiential model to teach a variety of topics including health, wellness, leadership and group facilitation, yoga, nature-based learning and program design.
