Expert Bio
Dr. Louis Cantor, the Jay C. and Lucile L. Kahn Professor of Ophthalmology at the Indiana University School of Medicine, joined the school as director of the Glaucoma Service in 1985 and has held several leadership positions within the Department of Ophthalmology, including chair from 2009 to 2017. He is the recipient of multiple research grants; his areas of research focus include glaucoma laser and surgical therapies, glaucoma pharmaceutical and biomedical research, anterior segment surgery, and cataract surgery.
He was appointed senior secretary for education for the American Academy of Ophthalmology in 2013 and holds membership in several professional organizations.
