Joseph Coleman is the Roy W. Howard Professor of Practice at The Media School at Indiana University. Coleman, the former Tokyo bureau chief for The Associated Press, worked for two decades as a reporter, most of that with the AP. He has reported from some 20 countries in Asia, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East. Coleman’s work includes coverage of the drug war in Colombia, the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami, and earthquakes in Japan and India. He is the author of “Unfinished Work” (OUP 2015), a book about the aging of the global workforce. He has worked at IU since 2009.
