Expert Bio
Stephen McShane has published articles and monographs on Northwest Indiana history, including “Moonlight in Duneland: The Illustrated Story of the South Shore Line Railroad” and “Steel Giants: Historic Photographs from the Calumet Regional Archives.” He has served as the archivist/curator at IU Northwest’s Calumet Regional Archives since 1982. McShane lives in Valparaiso, Indiana, with his wife, Cindy. They have two grown daughters, Maureen and Renee.
