William Allegrezza’s primary interest is in contemporary poetry in the Americas. His poetry, reviews, and translations have been published in many countries and have been translated into Italian, Spanish, Dutch, and Portuguese.
Allegrezza holds a Ph.D. in comparative literature and has published 16 books. Eleven are books of poetry, such as “Fragile Replacements,” “Collective Instance” and “temporal nomads.” Three are poetry anthologies, like “The Alteration of Silence: Recent Chilean Poetry” and” La Alteración del Silencio: Poesía Norteamericana Reciente.” Two books are on scholarly topics such as Pablo Neruda and Charles Bernstein.
