Alfonso Pedraza-Martinez

Expert Bio

Alfonso Pedraza-Martinez, associate professor of operations and decision technologies and Grainger Faculty Fellow in the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, is president of the College of Humanitarian Operations and Crisis Management at the Production and Operations Management Society.

He teaches logistics and supply chain management at the undergraduate, MBA and Ph.D. levels. His award-winning research on humanitarian operations management has informed the practice of logistics at the Red Cross Movement, World Food Programme and World Vision International.

Pedraza-Martinez has published in the Journal of Operations Management; Production and Operations Management, for which he serves as senior editor; and Disasters. He has been part of humanitarian logistics and sustainable operations in Colombia and its capital city, Bogota.
