Expert Bio

Mohammad I. Merhi is an associate professor in decision sciences at the Judd Leighton School of Business and Economics. Prior to his current appointment, he worked as a research assistant and an assistant instructor for the Department of Computer Information Systems and Quantitative Methods at the University of Texas Pan-American. He also gained industry experience as an assistant manager and systems analyst at Amwaj Lebanon Company in Lebanon. Merhi’s research has been published in several leading journals. He has also presented his research at leading international and national conferences and workshops.

Areas of Expertise

Teaching interests include information security management, systems analysis and design, IT project management, database management, data analytics and modeling, business statistics, and research methods. Research interests include information security management, information assurance in health care, electronic health record systems implementation, health information technologies, technology adoption and implementation, e-commerce, and IS cross-cultural studies.
