Expert Bio
April Lidinsky is a professor of women’s and gender studies and director of the Master of Liberal Studies Program at IU South Bend. She is the co-author of “From Inquiry to Academic Writing” (Bedford/St. Martin’s Press), in its fifth edition.
Lidinsky has written and performed over 140 public radio commentaries on WVPE since 2001. These essays take up the interdisciplinary topics of intersectional feminist work, drawing together historical and contemporary issues and theoretical and practical topics. She is involved in social justice and reproductive health advocacy in her community.
She earned her Ph.D. in literatures in English from Rutgers University in 2000.
