Mask policy update

Masks are now optional on campus for anyone who is fully vaccinated. As more IU students, faculty and staff are fully vaccinated, IU moved up the start date for this mask policy change.

Community focused

With a purpose of providing funding opportunities for IUPUI community-engaged scholars, winners of the 2021 Charles R. Bantz Chancellor’s Community Fellowship and the Community Scholar awards have been announced.

Through Their Eyes

The recipient of the inaugural Through Their Eyes Memorial Scholarship has been announced. The award was established in honor of the descendants of those who once lived and thrived on the land that houses IUPUI, including residents living in the Ransom Place and Indiana Avenue neighborhoods.

Racing for STEM

A new School of Engineering and Technology partnership with NXG Youth Motorsports will provide opportunities in motorsports to underrepresented urban girls and boys.

Emerging Artist Series

Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar established the Michael A. and Laurie Burns McRobbie Emerging Artist Series which honors the McRobbies' legacy of achievement, leadership and passion that characterized their roles over the former president's tenure.

Inspired by classical amphitheater design, the IUPUI Collaboration Theatre won European recognition for best classroom space.

Travel updates

As all IU campuses prepare to return to mostly normal operations this fall, the general suspension of university-affiliated international travel has been modified. International travel by IU faculty and staff no longer requires case-by-case review.
