Our class sizes are small, and students enjoy excursions, internships, and hands-on experiences from their very first year on campus. IU Southeast is committed to helping families improve the lives of the next generation and serving as an economic driver for the region.”

IU Southeast, a regional campus of Indiana University, offers Kentuckiana’s most affordable four-year degree as well as a wide array of undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificates. IU Southeast has three nationally recognized, accredited schools including the School of Business, School of Education, and School of Nursing.

This fall students represent 73 Indiana counties, 33 states plus the District of Columbia, and 12 countries of origin. Most students come from a 48-mile radius of the campus. Students from eight Kentucky counties receive in-state tuition and comprise 20 percent of total enrollment.

“Indiana University Southeast strives to offer relevant academic programming and wraparound student support to meet the needs of our students,” said Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Michelle Williams. “We have seen the transformative power of an IU Southeast education for our region in the alumni of IU Southeast that become citizens, workforce, and community members here in the local region. Our faculty are teacher-scholars of the highest caliber, meaning they combine accomplished research agendas with a passion for working with students individually. This sets regional comprehensive universities like us apart.”

Overall, 23 percent of enrolled students are first-generation students, 19 percent are students of color and 47 percent are ages 22 or older. The university saw an 18 percent increase in non-traditional-aged students, 25 and older, and a 20 percent increase in transfer students from other colleges and universities, in the incoming undergraduate class.
