Faculty and staff encouraged to help celebrate second annual IU Day

What is IU Day?

The second annual IU Day is today! It's a 24-hour celebration of IU that takes place online and all over the world through gift-giving, sharing your school spirit and sporting your IU gear. Faculty, staff, alumni, students and anyone who loves IU is invited to participate.

This year's IU Day will feature a wide variety of fun and games; a selection of mini-lectures by IU experts; a music playlist created by IU President Michael A. McRobbie; a behind-the-scenes video tour of the new Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and other campus gems; social media and giving challenges; special announcements of gifts to IU; and more.

Join in the celebration

There are numerous ways to enjoy the day. Here are just a few:

  • Visit iuday.iu.edu, where you can watch new IU programming like an IU mascot dance-off and find fun games featuring IU trivia and alumni.
  • Show your IU pride on social media using the hashtag #IU Day and compete to win a prize by sharing photos online.
  • Dress in your best IU gear.
  • Participate in giving challenges today or give any amount to your favorite campus, school or program.

Faculty and staff: You can test your IU smarts with Inside IU's IU Day crossword puzzle. Attach a completed puzzle along with your contest entry, and you could win an IU-themed swag bundle, including a notebook, keychain and more.
