Weeks of Welcome is a longstanding tradition of helping IUPUI students -- and staff and faculty members -- get into the swing of things for the start of a new academic year. The first two weeks of classes were crammed with fun events spread across campus. Here is a visual representation of some moments that got the new semester off to a strong start. All photos are by Liz Kaye of IU Communications.

Classes started Aug. 21, and students were already busy studying.

On Aug. 22, transfer students traded in old T-shirts from their previous institutions for a brand-new IUPUI shirt.

International Affairs sponsored a cricket workshop in Taylor Courtyard on Aug. 29.

Students, staff, faculty and Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar take part in the 40th annual ice cream social held at Taylor Courtyard on Aug. 29.

Students repped their Jagswag for IUPUI Spirit Day Aug. 29 at Taylor Courtyard. They got to meet many of their favorite IUPUI athletes in the process.
