Launched in spring 2016, IUPUI's Welcoming Campus Innovation Fund is now ready to begin its second round of projects. Round II will provide collaborative internal grants of up to $25,000 to support implementation of recommendations from the Welcoming Campus Initiative. Round II is unlike Round I in that it will seek projects that highlight or contribute to IUPUI's forthcoming 50th Anniversary. A list of inspiring projects funded through Round I can be found through the Office of the Chancellor's website.
For those wanting to present their ideas for consideration, there are some important dates to remember. Letters of intent are due Feb. 23, with full proposals due March 23. Notification of funded projects will be during the week of April 23.
Two orientation workshops designed to assist in developing proposals have been scheduled:
- Friday, Feb. 9: noon to 1 p.m., Lilly Auditorium, University Library
- Monday, Feb. 19: 4 to 5 p.m., Lilly Auditorium, University Library

Recognizing colleagues who go above and beyond
Though all of us are here to do a specific job at IUPUI, we all know that one person who is always going above and beyond the call of duty. They always seem to turn up when you need help, or maybe no job seems too tough for them -- even the ones that aren't technically their responsibility. Now you can thank that person properly, by nominating them for the Glenn W. Jr., M.D. Experience Excellence Recognition Award.
Any full-time staff or faculty member who has been working for the university a minimum of 12 months is eligible for this award. Nominations are due no later than Feb. 9 at noon, so don't forget to nominate your peers!
