Indiana University Kelley School of Business’ “The ROI Podcast” just uploaded its 50th episode, but No. 51 will mark another major achievement for the weekly downloadable program, which is hosted on the IUPUI campus.

Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb sat down with co-host Phil Powell, associate dean of academic programs for the Kelley School of Business at IUPUI, for a 17-minute interview that will drop Monday, June 25. Powell conducted the interview from the governor’s residence.

Topics discussed include technology in Indiana, preparing the Indiana workforce and talent shortages. Holcomb also gives some advice to listeners when it comes to “dreaming big.”

“During our conversation with Gov. Holcomb, he brought up several examples of why Indiana has become so attractive for tech firms: our welcoming culture, the economic environment, real estate and others,” Powell said. “The most recent series of ‘The ROI Podcast’ discussed tech growth in Indiana, and the governor’s points reaffirmed what the Kelley School of Business is experiencing, which is exciting for our current and future students.”

“The ROI Podcast” features an array of guests from IUPUI and beyond. Previous topics have included “how to ace your new job interview” and “why manufacturing is excelling.”

“We believe providing this information via podcast is important to help further the mission of the Kelley School of Business on the IUPUI campus,” Powell said, “which is to provide value to – and build human capital for – Indianapolis-area employers. The podcast is for anyone seeking to develop themselves more in business or as a leader.”
