The new academic year calls for new gear, courtesy of the Barnes & Noble @ IUPUI Official Bookstore.

Dozens of fresh items are already here, with a second wave coming by the end of the month. Whether you are looking to stay warm this fall or wanting to squeeze out the last of bit of summer, the bookstore has you covered.

“We’re going to have a lot of fun pieces for fall,” said Ana Cabezas, general manager of the Campus Center bookstore. “They’re good-quality sweatshirts with IUPUI front and center.”

Retro line T-shirts, hoodies and the debut of IUPUI-branded backpacks are expected to be hot sellers. These items are available now.

While thermometers still say it’s summer, the calendar warns that cold weather is not far away. The bookstore is now selling windbreakers and fleece-lined jackets to get you ready for winter nastiness.

“We’re going to have some great cold-weather gear,” Cabezas said. “It will keep you warm and fashionable.”

Expected in-store by the end of the month, new IUPUI 50th Anniversary items and more retro pieces to play off the big 5-0 should be seen on torsos campuswide this fall. More upcoming products will be limited-edition items as well.

“We’re going to have a couple of fashion lines coming out with fun colors that you usually don’t see,” Cabezas said. “But once they’re gone, they’re gone – so if you see them, snatch them up.”
