IU Bloomington Provost Lauren Robel to present State of the Campus address

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana University Bloomington Provost and Executive Vice President Lauren Robel will deliver her 2019 State of the Campus address at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, in Presidents Hall within Franklin Hall, home of The Media School at IU Bloomington.

The speech, which will be followed by a reception with light refreshments, is open to faculty, staff, students and the public.

This year’s address will include updates on progress toward goals laid out in the Bicentennial Strategic Plan for Indiana University Bloomington, a four-year plan that culminates in 2020. The IU Bloomington plan is intertwined with the goals of the Bicentennial Strategic Plan for Indiana University, an overview of IU’s vision and goals for the next century.

The address will include highlights of a campus transformed, including IU Bloomington’s many new schools and programs; an increasingly diverse campus; enhanced undergraduate research and engagement opportunities; and several initiatives with direct impact on the region and the state, including the IU Health Regional Academic Health Center, IU Corps, the Center for Rural Engagement, Grand Challenges and Emerging Areas of Research.

The State of the Campus address will be live-streamed and archived at broadcast.iu.edu.
