#GlobalJags: IUPUI students celebrate international cultures at annual festival

Hundreds of Jaguars “traveled around the world” last week at the 16th annual IUPUI International Festival.

Students were immersed in different customs through a variety of experiences, including cultural performances, international food samples and lectures.

More than 40 exhibitors were present to celebrate the diversity of cultures at IUPUI and help connect students to international opportunities and resources.

The Campus Center Atrium was filled with nearly a dozen cultural performances during lunchtime, including performances from DesiJags, the Indianapolis Chinese Community Center Inc., Indy Samba and more.

Students dined on international fare from five different areas: China, Turkey, Middle East/South Asia, South Africa and India.
